Winner claims $400,000 winning lottery ticket sold in Monterey
A winning Daily Derby ticket sold last month in Monterey has been claimed, state lottery officials said.
Andre Gau purchased the $391,574 winning ticket near the Monterey Regional Airport at the 7-Eleven located at 2301 North Fremont St.
Lottery officials said that while most people come in person to claim their prize, Gau mailed in his winning ticket.
Gau matched not just one, but all three winning horses (and the final race time) in the August 27 draw.
