News Producer

Live and work in one of the most beautiful television markets in California. KION-TV in Monterey/Salinas, California is accepting applications for News Producer. This position will be responsible for writing and producing our daily newscasts. We are looking for a journalist with strong writing and producing skills, a team player who thrives on deadlines and breaking news, with experience creating compelling content on all platforms. This is not an on-air reporting position, nor is it a technical production position.

Candidates should be highly skilled at time management and problem solving, also organized and creative. Prior news writing and producing experience, familiarity with non-linear editing, ENPS, social media and enterprise story telling are a big plus.
