Monterey County sex offender sweep nets one arrest for probation violation

A 34-year-old Seaside man was arrested Saturday on a probation violation during a sweep of known sex offenders in the North Monterey County, Seaside and Marina areas.

Allen Constant was arrested around 2 p.m. after members of the Monterey County Sheriff’s Department S.A.F.E. Task Force conducted a probation search of his home.

Constant was found to be in violation of his probation terms, though deputies did not provide specifics. He was booked into Monterey County Jail.

Constant previously was convicted of child pornography possession, according to state records.
