PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (KION) Organizers of the PURE Insurance Championship announced that it will be held without First Tee juniors or spectators this year.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, there will only be 80 PGA Tour Champions professionals and 80 amateur contestants. It will only take place at the Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Viewers can still watch the championship on the Golf Channel.

The event is scheduled for Sept. 15 to 20.

Last year, Kirk Triplett was the tournament winner and Matt Ginella and Alfonso Ribeiro were the winning amateur team.
