SALINAS, Calif. (KION) The Salinas Public Library announced that it has begun offering limited curbside pickup and material return services.

Library card holders can look through what is available and request items by looking at the catalog here. When staff get the request and the item is available, they will call or email card holders to schedule a pickup.

Pickup is available at the El Gabilan Library Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"We are taking small but important steps to reopen the library," say Library & Community Services Director, Kristan Lundquist.  "We know the community has missed our services and we are excited to provide this service while still following the County and State guidance.  Expect to hear more from us in the coming weeks and months."

Materials currently checked out can also be returned during curbside pickup hours. The materials will be isolated for a minimum of 72 hours before they are processed by staff.
