SALINAS, Calif. (KION) This video was taken on Thursday, March 12, 2020. We had just received word in the middle of the previous night that US President Donald Trump announced travel restrictions between the US and continental European countries in an effort to combat the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus).

My friends and I were worried about things moving rapidly now, perhaps the UK (where we were staying) would be next. So we traveled to the US Embassy in London near the River Thames taking the Underground to see who we could talk to.

But it wasn't as productive a visit as we would've liked.
