Weak high pressure will try to build in from the south, which will keep storm systems off to our north for a while. However, northerly surface winds will push some dryer air into the region. While that may cut down on fog, morning lows get colder into the weekend with frost looking likely inland. High temperatures will remain fairly steady during the period
Thursday: Mostly sunny with a few high clouds passing through. Slightly cool and at times breezy with highs in the upper 50s to upper 60s.
Overnight: A few high clouds overnight. Patchy fog possible. Expect lows in the 30s to 40s for most areas.
Friday: Northerly winds continue over the hills, with dryer air entering the region. Lows will be cooler than Thursday, though highs will be similar with upper 50s to upper 60s. Breezy at times in the lower elevations during the afternoon.
Extended: Low temperatures continue to fall off into the weekend with mid-30s to low 40s on the coast and upper 20s to mid-30s inland where frost is likely. Afternoons will be cool, but mostly sunny. Some warming expected through mid-week next week under mostly sunny skies. Conditions look to remain dry through the Thanksgiving holiday.

-Area drought status: Moderate drought for much of Santa Cruz & Santa Clara Counties, Abnormally dry on the east shore of the bay into San Benito County. No drought classification for much of Monterey County outside of the Gabilan Range.
