Slight Warming Inland
Don’t expect a lot of change for coastal areas in the coming days. An area of low pressure has developed on the coast, but it will slowly pull away from the area through the end of the week. The marine layer was allowed to deepen Wednesday, but will ever so slowly compress as two areas of high pressure squeeze back in on us. We will continue to see slightly cool temperatures and coastal clouds into next week with only periodic sunshine. Inland areas will see close to normal temperatures into the weekend, but above normal readings are likely next week as the ridge strengthens.
Thursday: Becoming partly cloudy on the coast and mostly sunny inland with lingering coastal low clouds and a few high clouds passing through. Coastal highs in the mid-60s to around 70ºF with mid-70s to low 90s inland. Breezy for inland valleys in the afternoon.
Overnight: Widespread low clouds for the coast and inland valleys. Coastal lows in the mid-50s with mid-40s to mid-50s inland.
Friday: After widespread morning low clouds, becoming partly cloudy on the coast and mostly sunny inland with lingering coastal low clouds and a few high clouds passing through. Coastal highs in the mid-60s to around 70ºF with mid-70s to mid-90s inland. Breezy at times on the coast and becoming windy for inland valleys.
Extended: Low clouds will thicken for the weekend with a slight cool-down on the coast. Inland temperatures will head upward into next week as high pressure strengthens.
