That High Pressure Nudge

ZACH WEATHER

High pressure will nudge back in from the east in the coming days. This will compress the marine layer and allow for warming in most areas. Surface flow will remain onshore, so a few low clouds and afternoon breezes will remain likely. A weather system will slide by to the north Friday into Saturday with a brief cool-down starting the weekend, but the general trend will be seasonable to slightly warm temperatures through next week.

Wednesday: A few low clouds on the coast, otherwise sunny. Expect coastal highs in the mid-60s to mid-70s—warmest on the north side of the bay—and upper 70s to around 101ºF inland. Breezy in the inland valleys during the afternoon and early evening.

Overnight: Low clouds fill the coast and inland valleys. Some fog is possible. Expect coastal lows in the low 50s with mid to upper 40s for most inland valleys and low to mid-50s up in the hills.

Thursday: Mostly sunny and warmer with coastal highs in the mid-60s to upper 70s and 80s to low 100s inland. Breezy for the inland valleys in the afternoon.

Extended: A few high clouds will stream in from the south Friday and Saturday and while Friday will likely be the warmest day of the next seven, we’ll see a bit of cooling on Saturday. Seasonable to slightly warm weather will continue out of the weekend.ADVERTISING
