Cooler, Cloudier, and Eventually Wetter

ZACH WEATHER

A big change in the weather as we head into the weekend…
After a very warm and dry start to the week, strengthening onshore flow will cool us and send in low clouds over the next couple of days. A storm system to our north will push a cold front through our area on Saturday morning which will likely bring light rain to the region. Another storm system to the south will then push moisture back into the region Monday/Tuesday with rain likely returning.

Thursday: Patchy low clouds on the coast throughout the day, otherwise mostly sunny with a few high clouds passing through. Cooler, with coastal highs in the upper 50s to low 60s and 60s to mid 70s inland. Breezy on the exposed coast during the afternoon.

Overnight: Cloudy conditions near the coast overnight, with patchy fog and drizzle possible. Expect lows in the 40s to 50s on the coast with upper 30s to 40s inland.

Friday: Partly to mostly cloudy, cooler, and breezy. Highs in the 50s to 60s. Some drizzle possible near the coast and patchy fog for inland valleys in the morning.

Extended: Light rain likely early Saturday, with partial clearing late. Cool and breezy with highs in the 50s to around 60ºF. We’ll catch a break on Sunday, though don’t expect any heat. Additional rain chances arrive Monday/Tuesday, though it will be a little warmer with southerly flow.

The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center for March 12th-18th calls for the likelihood of BELOW temperatures and ABOVE normal precipitation.
