AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am to finish on Monday

UPDATE 2/10/2019 8:40 p.m.: The final two golfers on the course for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Phil Mickelson and Paul Casey, weren’t able to finish their round due to darkness. The tournament tells KION that they will play the 17th and 18th holes Monday, beginning at 8 a.m. Play was briefly suspended on Sunday because of hail.

The short Monday action will be free for the public to attend, no ticket required. In a Facebook post, the Pro-Am writes: “The 17 Mile Drive will be open to the public, and the gate fee will be waived for spectators attending the tournament. No upgraded ticket venues or private hospitality will be open. The 18th green concession will be open from 8am – 12pm. Parking is available at the Pebble Beach Visitor Parking Lots. Follow signs for spectator parking.”

Mickelson currently holds a three-stroke lead at -18. Casey is tied for second at -15.

An event spokesperson says the last time the finish was pushed to Monday was back in 2000, when Tiger Woods won. In 2009, Dustin Johnson was declared the winner at only 54 holes, because rain continued through Monday.

UPDATE 2/10/2019 12:15 p.m. The AT&T Pro-Am is scheduled to resume at 1:00 p.m. PT Sunday.

It was suspended just before 11:00 a.m. because of hail and wet conditions.

It was suspended because of a storm Friday as well.

The tournament was already delayed an hour Sunday before the suspension. Players are being held in place.
