Dry weather to start the week

Monday’s weather will be dry and mild, with temperatures rising a few degrees. Offshore winds will be gusty at times, especially over the North Bay and East Bay mountains. Winds will be lighter here on the Central Coast.

Overnight lows will be chilly. Coastal lows will drop to the 40s, with upper 30s in coastal valleys and some isolated wind-protected valleys in the low-to-mid 30s Monday night and Tuesday night.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy, with patchy fog. Lows mostly in the 40s. Valley locations will reach the upper 30s.

Monday: Partly cloudy and slightly warmer, thanks to offshore winds. Highs in the mid 60s near the coast, and 60s to low 70s inland. Offshore winds pick up over the hills late.

Extended: Next week will be characterized by offshore winds. They will be the strongest on Monday and may be gusty over the hills. The air mass will remain warm & dry throughout the week, though the mornings will likely be cool.

The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center for February 22nd – 28th calls for the likelihood of BELOW normal temperatures and BELOW normal precipitation.
