Quiet Weekend

Our weekend looks to be rather quiet and more seasonal with sun and clouds. Cooler weather continues into the weekend as a weather system brushes by to the north. It will help deepen the marine layer Friday into Saturday and help produce some drizzle, but the system’s rain won’t make it to our shores.  The dominant ridge(s) of high pressure will remain to our south allowing for more southern penetration of the storm track through next week. Another system approaches mid-week, which we are monitoring for rain chances.

AIR QUALITY: Good

Today: Most cloudy coastal areas and in the valleys then gradual clearing with sunny skies. Expect coastal highs in the 60s to low 70s with 70s to upper 80s inland. Breezy on the exposed coast and up valleys late in the day. Low clouds thicken on the coast late.

Overnight: Clouds filling back in at coastline and in valleys with fog/drizzle by morning. Lows in the 50s mainly with some 40s inland.

Saturday: Partly cloudy with a chance for coastal drizzle in the morning and then again in the evening. Highs in the 60s to low 70s on the coast and 70s to low 80s inland. Breezy northwest winds at times.

Extended:
Expect partly cloudy and seasonable weather for most of the early part of next week before a pair of systems approach late-week. The Wednesday system may bring some light rain, but it is still far out.
