Another Chilly Day Sunday

Unsettled weather will continue on our Sunday as a nearby area of low pressure continues to weaken and move on. Expect scattered showers across the Monterey Bay Area with a slight chance of a thunderstorm which could include brief downpours, small hail, gusty winds, and lightning. The thunderstorm threat should end with sunset, but a few isolated showers may linger into the overnight. We’ll then move in to a gusty northwest flow regime with wind and cool temperatures for the next couple of days before we slowly warm back to normal and potentially above.

AIR QUALITY: Good

Sunday: Partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. Breezy northwesterly onshore winds developing.

Overnight: Partly cloudy with an isolated shower or two near the coast. Patchy fog possible in low, sheltered areas. Lows in the 40s on the coast and upper 30s to 40s inland.

Monday: Partly cloudy with gusty northwest winds at times. Cool with highs in the 50s to low 60s.

Extended: High pressure builds back in for next week with sunshine and a warm up with temps back up into the upper 60s and mid 70s coastal and mid to upper 70s inland by Tuesday.
