Increasing Rain Chances

Clouds will be on the increase along with patchy fog overnight into Sunday morning. Sunday will start out dry with some sunshine before our next system arrives. Rain will start in the northern communities in the afternoon and move southward by evening. Another round expected for Monday into Tuesday before we begin to dry out. Sunny skies and much warmer weather returns by late next week. Don't forget to "spring ahead" Saturday night for that extra hour of daylight. Sunday's sunset at approximately 7:10 p.m. for the central coast!
 
AIR QUALITY: Good

Overnight: Becoming mostly cloudy skies. Areas of patchy fog into dawn. Lows will be in the low to mid 40s inland, upper 40s at the coast.

Sunday (Daylight Saving): Remember to spring forward. Partly to mostly cloudy with cooler highs in the 50s to low 60s. Light rain showers starting in the afternoon from north to south. Breezy southerly winds, gusty at times.

Monday: Sunshine with another system bringing more rain chances by evening. Highs temps staying in the mid to upper 50s to low 60s.

Tuesday: AM rain ending with partly sunny skies by the afternoon. Highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Extended: Strong ridge of high pressure will likely build in mid-week next week with a streak of warmer, dryer weather expected. Sunshine and above average temps. through next weekend so far!

- ENSO Forecast: Transition from El Niño to neutral by Spring and then to La Niña by summer.
-Area drought status: Currently drought-free
