Slight Warming Trend
SALINAS, Calif. (KION) – Expect a dry and quiet holiday weekend. Clouds lingering at the immediate coastline, otherwise plenty of sunshine. Easter Sunday will start out cloudy at the coast with patchy fog possible then clearing with sunshine and a bit warmer with 60s at coast and 70s to near 80 inland. Our weather pattern will stay fairly quiet but turning cooler with more clouds midweek into next weekend. Watching for any rain chances next weekend but looks slim at this point in time. Stay tuned!
Air Quality: Good
Overnight: Clear inland as marine layer deepens along the coast spilling into the valleys. Patchy fog and not as cool with temps in the mid to upper 40s.
Easter Sunday: Morning coastal clouds, patchy fog then gradual clearing at coast with sun in the afternoon and slightly warmer with mainly 60s at coast and 70s to 80 degrees inland.
Extended: High pressure will continue to exert its control over the area from the southwest while troughs pass by to our northeast. Warm temperatures inland will set keep the onshore pressure gradient steady which will likely keep cooler air and clouds at the coast through the weekend and into early next week. The pattern becomes a little more active mid to late week which will stir up the winds and cool inland areas back down. We appear to stay dry for the moment.
