County of Monterey wants your help selecting a Emergency Preparedness Mascot

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) - May is National Wildfire Awareness Month, and the County of Monterey wants your help selecting a new family-friendly Emergency Preparedness Mascot.

According to the county, each of our candidates represents some of Monterey County's most loved and iconic animals.

The options for the upcoming mascot are:

  • Reina the Mitigation Monarch
  • Inky the Safety Squid
  • Alejo the Safety Seal

You can vote for your favorite for the best ambassador for emergency readiness ot the survey here.
