Warming Trend For Sunday

0:00/ 0:00LIVEQuality1  AudioSubtitleSpeedNormal

SALINAS, Calif. (KION) – Sunny but breezy Saturday with gusty onshore winds at coast and inland valleys too. It will be another cool night with mainly clear skies, but allow for some low clouds at coast along with patchy fog in areas. Sunday will begin a warming trend for a few days with temps above average and staying dry with sunshine.

Air Quality: Good

Overnight: Low clouds possible at coast otherwise mainly clear and cool temps in low to mid 40s. Patchy fog possible.

Sunday: Mainly sunny by afternoon with warmer temps. Mid to upper 60s coastal and 70s and low 80s inland.

Extended: A shift to light offshore flow will allow quick warming on Sunday/Monday with highs returning to well-above-normal levels. A complicated pattern then sets up with a series of troughs and cut-off lows all dancing around each other which *could* bring some showers to the region—perhaps most likely on Wednesday. There is a lot of uncertainty, however!
