Quiet Weather

Your forecast for Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Benito, and southern Santa Clara Counties…

June gloom at the coast will continue Thursday morning but hopefully there will be a few more peeks of sunshine with temps trying to climb upwards. Friday will be pleasant across the Central Coast before temps cool off again over the weekend. Winds will become quite gusty by the weekend and continue into early next week. Stay tuned for the latest.

AIR QUALITY: Good to Moderate

Overnight: A deeper marine layer will allow low clouds to spill over into many interior valleys, and allow for some light coastal drizzle. Areas of patchy fog also possible come dawn. Lows will be mild with mostly low to mid 50s across the region, upper 40s for sheltered valleys.

Thursday: A cloudy start for most, then another mostly cloudy day on the coast and a bit warmer with highs in the 60s. Mostly sunny inland with upper 60s to upper 80s. Breezy onshore winds becoming windy in the valleys late in the day.

Friday: More sun at the coast and pleasant with warming temps. Highs coastal in the low to mid 60s with 70's to low 90s inland.

Extended: Seasonable temperatures but gusty northwesterly winds at times over the weekend into early next week. Winds could turn quite gusty with an increased fire risk, especially north.
