Your Evening Weather 12/28/19 With Barry

Rain and Showers for Sunday

Our dry and mild weather pattern will end Sunday, when a weather system spreads clouds and rain over the area. The system will slide south through California during the day. Rain should taper off, north to south, Sunday night. Some residual showers are possible Monday morning in South Monterey County.
After the Sunday system, high pressure returns with dry and slightly warmer weather, although mornings will continue to be chilly.

Saturday night: Mostly clear until late night, when clouds will increase. Lows will be in the mid 40s in most locations, with upper 30s in the mountains and southern Salinas Valley.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy with rain beginning in the late morning or early afternoon. Widespread showers will develop in the evening with embedded thunderstorms possible. Breezy at times on the coast and near thunderstorms. Highs mainly in the mid 50s to low 60s.

Extended: Showers linger into the morning on Monday, but end for the afternoon. Expect, cool, breezy conditions. Temperatures will slowly warm up through the end of the week, though lows will be chilly. Highs should return to above normal levels by Thursday.

The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center for January 4th – 10th  calls for the likelihood of BELOW normal temperatures and ABOVE normal precipitation.
