SOQUEL, Calif. (KION-TV)- The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office is looking for an man who is accused of stealing an electric scooter on March 19.

Deputies said the incident took place around 1:00 a.m. in the area of Robertson Street and Soquel Drive. Deputies say the man was seen lingering around a home and then two hours later stole an electric scooter that belonged to a disabled veteran.

The Sheriff's Office said that the man placed various items into their backpack and riding a different scooter at one point.

Deputies said the man was seen in a light-colored hoodie sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, skate shoes, and carried a light-colored backpack.

The bike is a a "Buzz Around Carry-on" model manufactured by the brand Golden.
