Highway 1 overnight closures in Santa Cruz County set for Monday night

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV)- Caltrans announced that Highway 1 is expected to be shutdown overnight along Soquel Avenue in both directions along Soquel on Monday and Tuesday nights.

The closure will be in both directions between Chanticleer Avenue and 17th Avenue. The closure begins tonight at 10 p.m. and will last until 5 a.m.

The closure may happen Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

The closure is needed for Caltrans to make any final adjustments on a new bike and pedestrian bridge overcrossing.
