Knights, Chieftains advance to State Championships
SOQUEL, Calif. (KION) - Soquel and Palma are headed to State.
Both football teams are aiming to take home the first state football title in school history.
The Knights punched their ticket to the finals with a dominant 42-14 win over Casa Roble on Friday night. Soquel will now face Jurupa Hills for the Division 4-AA title at Pasadena City College. The game will take place December 8 with kickoff set for 8 p.m.
The Chieftains secured their spot after outlasting Hughson 31-21 on Saturday night. Palma will now square off against Mission Oak for the Division 4-A title on December 9. The game is set to kick off at 3 p.m. and also take place at Pasadena City College.
