One dead, four missing after boat capsizes near Bodega Bay, Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office says

BODEGA BAY, Calif. (KION-TV/KTVU) -- The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office says at least one person is dead and four others missing after their boat capsized near Bodega Bay on Saturday.

The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office says they were able to rescue one person, but another boater was declared dead at the scene.

Investigators say the surviving boater washed ashore is being treated and was found Sunday afternoon.

The sheriff's office says three adults and three teens were on a 21-foot blue and white Bayliner Boat that set sail on Saturday afternoon.

The identities of anyone rescued or deceased has not been provided at this time.
