Luke Mast named Big Week Bull Riding Xtreme Bulls Champion
SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV) -- A sold-out crowd at the Salinas Sports Complex on Wednesday night got to see Luke Mast win the Big Week Bull Riding Xtreme Bulls event.
The Hutchinson, Kansas native covered two bulls to win the championship, according to the California Rodeo Salinas.
Mast scored 81 points on Try Me and 85.5 points on Stand By Me.
The championship buckle was sponsored by Rancho San Lucas, with bulls coming from All in Pro Rodeo and Corey & Lange.
Thursday is Bucking Cancer night at the rodeo. Fans can bring in an empty Coke bottle or can after 10 a.m. to receive a $5 admission ticket.
California Rodeo Salinas performances begin Thursday Night at 6 p.m., gates open at 4 p.m.
