CAL FIRE rescues diver at Point Lobos

COUNTY OF MONTEREY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- CAL FIRE BEU said a water rescue took place Sunday afternoon at Weathers Cove, south of Carmel in Point Lobos State Natural Reserve.

CAL FIRE told KION the single diver was pulled from the water with non-life threatening injuries and was being assessed by medics.

Initial reports indicated the rescue took place approximately 200 feet offshore.
