CHP Santa Cruz arrest one person after vehicle pursuit
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CALIF. (KION-TV)- CHP Santa Cruz arrested one person after they tried evading officers Wednesday morning.
According to officials, officers noticed a black Jeep SUV driving above the speed limit on Highway 1 near Rio Del Mar Blvd. When officers tried to make a traffic stop, the vehicle fled. This resulted in a vehicle pursuit.
The driver recklessly evaded CHP officers, but the pursuit ended when a legal intervention was used to safely stop the driver. The driver was not injured as a result of the intervention.
The driver has only been identified as a 25-year-old male from Watsonville. He was taken into custody for felony evading, DUI, and outstanding warrants.
