Soledad Police Department

SOLEDAD, CALIF. (KION-TV)- Soledad Police have arrested a suspect that's been connected to an ongoing sexual assault investigation Thursday night.

According to officials, Soledad Police Detectives have been investigating an alleged on-going sexual assault of a juvenile that was first reported in February of this year. During that time, detectives have been working with the victim and their family and were able to positively identify the suspect.

Thursday night, detectives, patrol officers and members of the South Monterey County Task Force were able to set up a plan and make the arrest of the suspect with no issues.

Detectives followed 20-year-old William Price of Salinas from his home. As he entered the city of Soledad with the intentions of meeting with the underage victim, officers were waiting for him to make the arrest. Price was booked into the Monterey County Jail.

Soledad Detectives believe there may be more victims out there. If anyone may know of any more victims, detectives urge you to come forward and provide any important information you may have. You can contact Detective Mario Vargas at 223-5125 or Detective Cecilio Lozano at 223-5164.
