Cooling Centers in Southern Monterey County set to open on Wednesday

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- There will be a handful of cooling locations on offer during the heat spell over the next few days.

The cooling centers will be open starting on Wednesday and Thursday, located at the King City, San Ardo and San Lucas Libraries. Here are a list of operating hours for each of the cooling centers.

King City Library- Wednesday and Thursday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

San Ardo Library- Wednesday: 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Thursday: 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

San Lucas Library- Wednesday: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Thursday: 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Two additional cooling centers will be located at the Soledad Community Center as well as Greenfield City Hall.

Hours for the Soledad Community Center will be from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday. The cooling center at Greenfield City Hall from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
