12 surveillance cameras returned after being stolen from a warehouse, police say

SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV)- Salinas Police said that 12 surveillance cameras have been returned after they were stolen from a warehouse in February.

On Feb. 9, Officers said that they responded to a burglary at Nunes Company on the 900 block of Johnson Avenue in Salinas. Investigators said that at least 54 cameras were stolen from the warehouse.

The value of the cameras was $59,897.87, per police.

Salinas Police said during a homeless cleanup in the area of Industrial Street and South Sanborn Road, employees from Smith and Enright Landscaping discovered 12 cameras in an unattended homeless cart.

Investigators confirmed that the serial numbers were those of the stolen cameras and they were returned to their owner.

Officers said the 12 cameras were valued over $15,000 based on the sale invoice.

Salinas Police said they are working on multiple leads to try and find the suspects who were accused of the crime.
