People living in Pacific Grove preparing for another storm
PACIFIC GROVE, Calif. (KION-TV): With another late season storm on the way, people on the Monterey Peninsula were preparing Thursday afternoon.
People who live in Pacific Grove said they're getting their generators ready because they always stay in the dark when it rains, but they said, power outages are not the only thing that concerns them.
Janice who has been living in Pacific Grove for more than 30 years. She said this year she has experienced power outages.
Janice said the side of the street gets filled with water. She thinks something needs to be done.
"More concerning is our public works service, for me," said Janice. "Just because I live on the corner where there's the drainage, and it's not draining all the time and it becomes quite a plethora of water around here and down on our street it looks like a ranging river."
Janice said she's going to move her vehicles away from the curbs because when the water comes down her street it hits the tires and the landscaping.
There is also a wind advisory issued until early Saturday morning.
Some areas include the mountains of San Benito County and coastal cities in Monterey County. Santa Cruz County said they're expecting 2-3 inches of rain, they also said they don't expect flooding.
