Marina City Council appoints Jenny McAdams to vacant District 3 seat

MARINA, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Former Pacific Grove City Councilmember, Jenny McAdams, has been appointed to the vacant Marina City Council District 3 seat.

McAdams was selected among four other applicants at a special meeting on February 28, 2024.

McAdams is employed by the Monterey County Business Council and takes the role on the council after Cristina Medina Dirksen announced she would resign from the District 3 seat on January 28, 2024.

"When the opportunity arose, given my experience, it felt like the perfect fit for me to apply. I am grateful to the other applicants, and the Mayor and Council for their confidence in my ability to serve," said McAdams.

McAdams will be sworn in at Marina's council meeting on March 5, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.

A meet-and-greet will be held at 6 p.m. for the community to meet McAdams.

McAdams will remain on the council until the seat is up for election in November 2024.
