Seaside man arrested on attempted murder charges, police say

MARINA, Calif. (KION-TV)- Marina Police said they arrested a 32-year-old Seaside man after he allegedly stabbed a victim that stemmed from a verbal argument on Monday night.

Investigators said the incident took place on the 200 block of Reservation Road in Marina.

According to officers, the suspect identified as Andres Andy Garcia and a associate had a verbal disagreement that turned into a fight.

Investigators said that is when Garcia allegedly stabbed the man at least once.

Officers were unable to find the male victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital for non life-threatening injuries.

Garcia has been booked into the Monterey County Jail on multiple charges including attempted murder, possession of narcotics and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

The case is still under investigation.
