Evacuation warnings lifted for low-lying areas of Carmel River and River Fire burn scar

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV)- With another storm set to arrive on Sunday night, the County of Monterey and Monterey County Sheriff's Office is taking preventative measures.

We will be updating this article with evacuation warnings and road closures for County of Monterey as soon as they come in.

Evacuation Warnings lifted

Low-lying areas of Carmel River: People who live in the low lying areas near the Carmel River are in an evacuation warning until further notice. This applies for community members who live near Paso Hondo, Lazy Oaks, Esquiline Road, Del El Rio Road and El Potero.

River Fire burn scar: The Monterey County Sheriff's Office has also issued an evacuation warning for people who live in the River Fire Burn Scar area. The area includes those who live along Berry Drive, Pine Canyon Road, 800 block of River Road, Limeklin Road and Parker Road.

Flash Flood Watch

River Fire Burn Scar- The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for people who live near River Fire Burn Scar area.  The warning starts on Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. and ends through Wednesday morning.
