Man arrested in Scotts Valley for possession of drugs and a ghost gun
SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. (KION-TV)- The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office have arrested a 38-year-old man who was found to have a ghost gun and four and a half pounds of methenamine on Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies responded to the 300 block of Sugarloaf Road for a suspicious male inside a vehicle.
Deputies contacted 38-year-old Daniel Pryor who provided a false identification and then attempted to get away from deputies by jumping down a steep embankment.
The Sheriff's Office said they found Pryor in a ravine and detained him without incident.
Deputies found three ounces of methenamine, a firearm holster and a large amount of cash on Pryor.
Deputies searched his car and found a loaded, un-serialized gun, one and a half pounds of meth, packaging materials, scales, burglary tools and potential stolen property.
The Sheriff's Office said that Pryor was a convicted felon and had warrants for multiple cases of being a felon in possession of firearms and narcotics for sale.
He was arrested and booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail and a bail increase was granted.
