Air Rescue in Big Sur

Calfire BEU has confirmed a rescue operation on Friday at Junipero Serra Peak in Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. Officials say that around 2:44pm, they got a call about someone falling in the park and becoming injured, suffering leg and wrist injuries.

A rescue response was sent out for a hoist and helicopter operation. Calfire BEU receiving support from Los Padres and Camp Roberts to bring that person to safety.
