House fire in Scotts Valley stopped from spreading to neighboring structures

SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. (KION-TV)- Scotts Valley Fire District said they responded to a structure fire Saturday morning that could have been much worse for the owners.

At 5 a.m. crews responded to the house fire. The fire was contained to the house.

Scotts Valley Fire District said the property had "excellent defensible space clearance" that helped prevent the spread to nearby structures.
