Injured hawk rescued by CHP on Highway 9

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV)- CHP Santa Cruz County said that a recently graduated officer saved an injured hawk Thursday on Highway 1.

The officer and a training officer responded quickly and rescued the hawk before being further injured.

The hawk was taken to a local animal shelter for further treatment.
