Santa Cruz County prepares ahead of wet weather during the upcoming holiday

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Although Santa Cruz County said they are not expecting too much wet weather to hit this area in the storms ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, they did mention resources available for residents in the county:

Sand and Bag locations - this is accessible via the Public Works Division homepage
CruzAware - Emergency notifications for the County
ZoneHaven - Flooding notification system for residents

Tiffany Martinez with the County of Santa Cruz, said that county workers do a lot of storm prevention work like maintaining and cleaning out the drainage systems.

She also said that they patrol areas to make sure leaves are not stuck in drains or clog other systems.
