Deadly crash on Shore Road at Frazier Lake Road Tuesday evening; CHP Hollister-Gilroy

HOLLISTER, Calif. (KION-TV) -- The CHP Hollister-Gilroy officers announced Thursday that a crash Tuesday resulted in the death of a 28-year-old man from Hollister.

The CHP says that the deadly crash took place in an unincorporated area of San Benito County and is currently still under investigation.

At around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, two vehicles hit each other head-on north of Shore Road at Frazier Lake Road, according to the CHP.

"Due to the severity of the crash, one of the involved drivers was killed," said the CHP. "The driver and passenger of the other vehicle where transported to a nearby hospital with suspected serious injuries."

The CHP says that it is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the cause of the crash.
