Protesters rally on South Main in Salinas
SALINAS, Cailf. (KION) Dozens of protesters converged along South Main Street and Blanco Road Sunday to rally against the killing of George Floyd, a black man from Minnesota who died while in police custody.
The protesters, who were set up in front of Star Market, yelled “I can’t breath” and other phrases relating to Floyd's death. Cars honked their horns as they passed in a show of support.
The Salinas rally is one of a series of protests happening on the Central Coast over the weekend.
