Scott’s Valley Bay Village Development Proposal

The Scotts Valley Planning Commission is hearing a new housing proposal on Thursday night, called the Bay Village Planned Development. The proposal had previously been approved by the Scotts Valley City Council in 2021 when the development had 6 homes and 2 duplexes, which has now grown to 19 condominium units.

The proposed location is off Erba Lane between Macdorsa Park and the Scotts Valley Fire Department, the project would pave over a parking lot near the park. Each of homes is set to be between 1400 and 1500 square feet, with 3 bedrooms and a 2 car garage. All that would be within 4, 3 story townhome buildings.

The developer says that all units are expected to be up for sale, 2 units will be for low income buyers while 1 other will be for moderate income buyers. The plan also calls for a new common area to be added, with a picnic table and fescue grass.

If the Planning Commission approves the the plan, the next step is getting it in front of the City Council.
