One Brotherhood Motorcycle Club delivers gifts to local families in need this holiday season

SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV) – Christmas came early for families in Salinas as the annual One Brotherhood Motorcycle Club spread holiday cheer by delivering gifts to people in need.

The One Brotherhood Motorcycle Club hit the streets of Salinas Saturday morning.

Delivering Christmas gifts and much needed support to families in need to make the holiday extra special.

"There's a family that we have this year that we helped before and they just have some hardships," Mark Lacuata Co-founder of the One Brotherhood Motorcycle Club said. "We took them on again and we're going to take care of them again. Seeing their faces, their faces very light up and they see us because they know that we're going to take care of them.”

This marks the 11th year the One Brotherhood Motorcycle Club has been raising funds year round to help local families during the holidays.

For club members, the mission goes beyond just delivering toys. It’s about offering a helping hand to those who can't help themselves.

"Right now I'm having a hard time, so it's just been a blessing," Saundra Menchaca said. 'They've been a really big blessing to my son and it's awesome for my son who come out here in Santa Claus on motorcycles and he loves it."

One family shared their experience of being unhoused before receiving help.

"We lived in our car for about three months, things got very complicated with us and we couldn't find a place to live." Kimberly said. "Just living in the car has been a life experience. But there's people out there that are willing to be there for you that are willing to help you through whatever you're going through and it's just a blessing of God."

"It brings me a lot of joy, I wasn’t able to buy them gifts this Christmas but thanks to One Brotherhood Motorcycle Club they have gifts this Christmas," Diana Adeles said.

The One Brotherhood of Monterey County is already accepting donations for next year.
