SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office announced Friday that just after midnight Thursday, deputies were dispatched to an armed robbery home invasion on the 2000 block of Halterman Avenue in Live Oak.

Police said that upon arrival they learned that the two victims had left the home close to midnight Wednesday after three suspects approached them, held the victims at gunpoint and demanded that they return to the home they had just left.

According to police, the suspects forced the victims back into the home, joining a third victim who was already inside. The victims' hands and feet were zip-tied while the suspects "ransacked" the residence, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Police say that the suspects were inside the home for approximately 40 minutes before they all left with several bags full of the victims' belongings.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the first two suspects are described as a Black male adults, about 6’- 6’2 tall, 200lbs and wearing black beanies with black bandanas over their faces. They also wore black sweatshirts and dark colored pants.

The third suspect, according to police, was described as a Black male adult approximately 5’7 tall, 160lbs and having a mustache. He wore a white bandana on his face with a solid white sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The Sheriff's office tells KION that they believe the home was targeted but the suspects don't appear to have known the victims.
