Sonia Stone’s daughter seeks restitution from Michael Glazebrook
It's a case many on the Central Coast know very well.
Michael Glazebrook after all faced two trials and it was in the second, which included DNA evidence, which eventually linked him to the murder of Sonia Stone in 1982.
Sasha Stone never lost hope of receiving justice for her mother. She was only four years old when she lost her.
While DNA evidence proves without reasonable doubt how Glazebrook murdered Stone, he continues to appeal his conviction.
At the same time, Stone's family has been trying to move forward with a civil case. They are requesting discovery to examine Glazebrook's assets in their effort for restitution.
A hearing is being held Friday to determine if the courts will grant Stone's family access to Glazebrook's document's while he appeals his case or if a stay is granted for the inmate while his appeal is carried out.
