Prescribed burn planned for Wilder Ranch State Park

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION-TV)- The State Parks Natural Resource will conduct a prescribed burn Wednesday at 11 a.m.

The burn will start at 11 a.m. in the Eucalyptus Loop area. People hiking the trails above Highway 1 on Wilder Ranch should be prepared for heavy smoke.

If conditions dry out, additional burning in the same area may also occur next week.
