The Wienermobile first came around in 1936 in an effort to lift spirits during the Great Depression, and now, the company said the goal is to give back to the community.

"It’s important for our hotdogger team to give back to every community we visit. In the past, we’ve teamed up with homeless shelters for hot dog lunches and delivered routes with meals on wheels. We know that Salinas, Santa Cruz, and Monterey have had a tough time recently and we’re thrilled to bring joy to the community and to be a part of Meals on Wheels Salinas and fundraisers that will help Liam get a guide dog, help a volunteer fire department, help a cheer gym, and the Aromas Park raise money," a company spokesperson said.
