Twin brothers arrested in connection to Watsonville attempted murder

WATSONVILLE, Calif. (KION) Twin brothers have been arrested for allegedly stabbing two men in Watsonville.

Police said the two, 27-year-old Victor and Angel Sanchez, are suspected of stabbing two men in the 100 block of Grant Avenue on Aug. 30. The victims have already been released from the hospital.

The stabbing is believed to be gang-related, according to police, and the Sanchez brothers were identified as suspects early in the investigation.

Angel was arrested in Watsonville four days after the stabbing by the Santa Cruz County Gang Task Force. Victor was arrested in San Jose Thursday morning with the help of the San Jose Police Department.

Both are booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail on attempted murder charges. Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Gustavo Zamora at 831-768-3355.
