Caught on Camera: Porterville resident uses sprinkler to deter suspected thieves

PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KION) A couple in Porterville found a unique way to deter suspected thieves, and it was caught on camera.

Katie Gisler Camarena said on social media that residents in their neighborhood have had trouble with people trying to steal tools or other items out of vehicles. She said flood lights did not scare them off, so they got a motion-activated sprinkler.

Camarena shared a video that she said shows someone on a bicycle coming into their driveway and being sprayed by the sprinkler.
