Three arrested for weapons violations in Salinas
SALINAS, Calif. (KION) Three people were arrested in Salinas over the weekend after they were found with guns they were not supposed to have.
Officers with the Violence Suppression Task Force first found a group of men drinking and smoking marijuana at a business park on Bunker Hill Way. Officers said that as they got closer, something was thrown into a nearby parked vehicle. Police said they found a revolver registered to a dead man in Vallejo. Two of the men were arrested.
Later in the day, VSTF officers conducted a parole search at a hime in the under 100 block of Russell Road. Officers said they found a rifle in the parolee's room. One person was arrested.
All three people were booked into the Monterey County Jail on weapons charges.
